Be Your Own Lamp
The Buddha's final teaching before parinirvāṇa: "Be a lamp unto yourself. Take refuge in yourself. Be a lamp of Dharma. Take refuge in Dharma. Do not take refuge in anything else." Method? Observe the body internally. That's it. What the Buddha taught at the final moment was the same as what he taught throughout: do not seek outside.
