MBSR vs. Buddhist Mindfulness

MBSR teaches "non-judgmental awareness" — highly effective for stress reduction. But Buddhist appropriate attention is NOT non-judgmental. It has direction — evaluating whether something moves toward liberation or continued cycling. Stripping out the religious framework loses the complete eightfold path system. Extracting mindfulness alone is like taking one screw without the whole machine.
