The AI Agent and Dharma-Flow: A Modern Analogy
The knowledge inside a large language model is vast. But if an AI agent doesn't open an API connection, that knowledge might as well not exist. The moment the connection opens, the agent gains access to resources far beyond its own capacity.
Those resources were always there. The agent didn't create them. It didn't pull them from the future. It simply opened the receiving end.
Initial bodhicitta in relation to the dharma-flow is like the agent in relation to the LLM — the resource was always there; the opening begins its use.
This analogy has strict boundaries. The Dharmakāya is sentient, all-pervading, beyond causality. An LLM is an insentient vessel-world — entirely different ontological levels. The analogy is purely structural: "a resource repository becomes operative only when actively connected." No ontological equivalence implied.
For the precise Yogācāra positioning of LLMs, see Paper #3 in this series.
